about me
Isabella Choi/최지예 (b. 2003 Hackensack, New Jersey) is a recent graduate at the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration and a Concentration in Literary Arts and Studies.
Isabella is currently thinking about:
1. The supernatural events that lie within an inflation of a second.
2. The mechanics of memory and poetry as a mechanism
3. Self-reference
4. When symbology, playfully, becomes characters
5. Hypotheticals based on the idea that fantasy can’t be witnessed, not that it can’t exist
6. Being Forever in Girlhood
7. Taking cues from Korean media iconography and Korean stationary aesthetics
As of late, her work has been shown at the RISD Museum Guild’s Re:Pattern at the RISD Museum and Bells and Whistles at the ISB Gallery.
You can also just refer to her as “Izzy”.
